Problem #1:
models 4580, 4581, 4583, 4585 made pre-12/31/89 (8912 & lower). When adjusting or relocating straps, parents may improperly rethread through metal retention slides. In sudden stop/crash, straps will not restrain child. Destroy! Problem #2: models 4581, 4583, & 4585 made pre-11/89 (8910 & lower). Retaining screws on handle may loosen & separate from seat. Destroy!

Century Infant Seats & 4-in-1 Systems w/ straight handles (W-shaped handles not affected).
Seats made 1/01/91-7/31/97. Problem: Handle releases unexpectedly when carried causing seat to flip & unbuckled child to fall. Destroy!

All Century Infant Seats & 4-in-1 Systems.
All models beginning “45” or “11” made 9/12/95-5/13/96 (091295-051396) & having date code 255-95 through 365-95 or 001-96 through 131-96 on buckle top (above red push button on either side of the word “Infant”) are affected. Destroy!

model 4750 made 12/5/95-2/13/96 (120595-021396). Affected seats, have number: WO#-138442-01, WO#-136716-01, -02, or -03 on white label sewn to harness near splitter plate. Problem: Latch can release when seat is forward-facing & harness in slot closest to crotch. Destroy!

Models 1000, 2000, 3000 & 5000 STE
made 12/90-10/91 (9012-9110). Problem: Spanish labels have “bebes” & “ninos” transposed at belt path. Destroy!

2000 STE T-Shield
Problem #1:
made pre-6/89, (8906 & lower). Shoulder straps may be glued (not sewn). Check loops at splitter plate on seat back. Destroy! Problem #2: models 4253, 4261, 4263, 4265 & 4266 made 12/91-4/30/92, (9112-9204). Push button can fail allowing shield/harness to release. Destroy!

3000 STE Tray-Shield
Problem #1:
Fabric on shield has Velcro, child may unfasten Velcro & pull apart foam. OR Problem #2: models 4365 & 4368 made 5/7/90-6/14/90 (9005-9006). Latch tongue breaks in crash allowing child to slip out. OR Problem #3: models 4353, 4365, & 4368 pre-1/1/91 (9101 & lower). Instructions may not advise when to switch from rear to forward latching positions. Failure to switch to forward latching position for a child more than 30 lbs. makes release difficult after crash. OR Problem #4: made 9/89-4/92 (8909-9204) release button rotates up in crash making release difficult. Note: Some seats were repaired with defective button. Problems 1-4: Destroy!

made 4/85-2/86 (8504-8602) w/ “mold #1” engraved above top bar. Plastic too thin under child’s bottom. OR Problem #2: made 1/81-4/81 (8101-8104). Buttons on pad loosen & present choking hazard. OR Problem #3: made 1/1/81-1/1/83 (8101-8212). Buckle release is difficult. OR Problem #4: model 4200 made 6/81 has wrong washers. Problems 1-4: Destroy!

made 4/85-2/86 (8504-8602) w/ “mold #1” engraved above top bar. Problem: Plastic too thin under child’s bottom. Destroy!
